My name is Ilario Gabriele Gerloni, I was born in Catania, Italy on June 9th, 1994.
Since I was a kid I loved to draw comics and to animate cartoons on PC. When I was 12 I developed my first videogame using Game Maker. The game was a copy of Tron survival race with motorcycles. Because of this passion and ability, I went to the Deeper Math and Computer Science class of my lyceum in 2008. During this period I've been accepted at Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory of Catania in a 10-year Piano course (but starting at the 3rd academic year) in September 2009.

Once I finished school, in October 2013 I went to the Computer Engineering class of the University of Catania, where I oriented my curriculum in the software direction, and in the meantime, I developed games in jams and in University courses. I also held a game development course in two different sessions at University thanks to my teacher and to EESTEC association. During University I continued practicing and attending Piano lessons at the Conservatory.

On October 2016 I got a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering with the maximum grade, with a dissertation on my videogame: Simplex Man. Then I started working for a videogame-related company where I developed for HoloLens. Then I went to the Computer Engineering Master Course at University of Catania, while working at first as stagist and then R&D developer in Bax Energy. During this time I've been selected to be the Tutor of first-year students of Computer Engineer, providing help and giving lessons about first year's subjects, and, after one year, Coordinator of Tutors, doing what I was previously doing as Tutor and preparing newcomer Tutors to the role. I've also been representative of the student body both at the class at the institutional Joint.

On October 2017, after 8 long years, I got a Master's Degree in Piano, Musical Culture, Harmony and Solfeggio.

On October 2018 I got a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering with again the maximum grade, with a dissertation about Immersive Virtual Reality in Earth Science made in collaboration with National Institute of Astrophysics, University of Milano Bicocca and University of Portsmouth, which gave me the ability to collaborate in the making of University Papers concerning Virtual and Augmented Reality, one presented in Poznan, Poland, and one in Paris, France.
Ten days later, on November 2018, I flew to Nice, France, to start working as a Consultant Software Engineer at ALTEN in Sophia - Antipolis, where I worked for important French companies such as Thales and Amadeus, putting into practice what I've studied so far and improving my developer skills, working in team, mastering new languages, and in my spare time, working on my passion, videogames (and of course playing piano with my French jazz band).

And in the end, in February 2020 I flew to Manchester, United Kingdom, to work in Traveler's Tales (TTGames), as a Mechanics DevOps Programmer first, and then Game Programmer in a fantastic videogame company. Now I'm trying with all my strength to turn this passion into a way of life, going straight forward at 2000 rpm, like my great supervisor once said.
